Boston Movers Who Don't Charge Shuttle Fees
A shuttle fee - the number one complaint of long distance moving scams. And, may I add, perfectly legal - WHAT! A shuttle fee is when a moving company has tractor trailers ( or any truck larger than 26 feet) and cannot access your home apartment any reasons. Some of the more common reasons being:
- sharp turns
- lack of parking
- snowy weather
- movers are too tired to walk an extra 20 feet
- your moving company needs to make more money off of you
Your driver, at his/her discretion, can call an other moving company with a small truck to shuttle small shipment from your residence to the bigger tractor trailer parked in another location.
Boston is one of the most common cities for this tomfoolery to take place. However, with some due diligence, you can find movers who don't charge shuttle fees quite easily.
